Pat McCarron made the Semis and that was with a poor break all day. A number of other guys did well too...
Think the final is on now.

Hello Everyone,
Derek Ahern here current Chairman of The SEPF. Just registered on your site and wanted to post and welcome you to the SEPF. Also good luck to you all with your new tour. Special thanks to Adam for all the great work he has done over the last few months. Good luck also to Brad with his new position within your league. Question for everyone After the success of the recent event held by Maxlee pool involving both BB & WR players Would you the players be interested in a WR Scottish Interleague where all leagues in Scotland are invited to take place no matter what ruleset they play. Derek

Yes, I would have no problem about giving out invites to prospective member leagues...

I wouldn't have a problem with it. Would any SPA leagues entering a team then have to ban themselves though?
It's ridiculous!

Just noticed that Marc Fleming had an excellent result in this. Pumped England A team stalwart Gareth Hibbot 7 - 4. Good stuff!

Aberdeen and Nairn are in this, apparently Inverness couldn't get a team. Shame we couldn't have taken our years trial as we could have had a piece of it too. It is a shame that the players such as yourself who want/are able to commit to play in these events currently cannot. Allowing individuals the freedom to affiliate and play where, when and to whatever ruleset they desire would be a big step forward without commiting whole leagues with 300 or so players. Having said that a better solution would be if leagues could affiliate to both with all the associated benefits but with none of the stipulations that currently exist...........every single player in Scotland would have the ultimate freedom of choice of where and when they can play pool. Anyhows.......live pool ?.... it gotta be better then the tv tonight !

Yes this would be wonderful in an ideal world. However, we don't live in that perfect place. My point is that we could have been playing in this without losing a great deal. As regards the live pool, I hope the standard improves and they let us know who is playing otherwise I'll need to go back to trawling the internet for negative articles about Rangers lol!

Well I'm sure it wont be the last time this scenario is dicussed......for the majority of voters at an agm it would come down to which rules are better in my opinion.......not a discussion I want to get into.

A player from our league (sort of) is playing in this tournament tonight Adam.... he's also entered the Grassroots Tour. Why not try just entering yourself (via Inverness) and see if anything happens?

Yeah that wouldn't happen. I'm well known by the Inverness Pool League Committee and would not be able to sneak in so to speak. They vet their entries for all SPA comps very carefully indeed.
Moreover, my rule breaking days are well behind me. I am somewhat of a stickler these days...

I've informed him that unless he moves back up on a permanant basis soon, he will have to play in R2, same as Ryan and Marc who are back in R2 after their ban from Styx was lifted. I'll see him at the Open hopefully and talk to him there.
