Reluctantly I am going to pull my name out as i don't feel i can commit to going to events should I be lucky enough to qualify.
So its a no from me !
Thanks

Hi brad,
I think Mark Bell is going and I thought Woody was being given the automatic place that I had to give up?
Cheers,
Adam.

Yeah Bell is going, Woody's unfortunately had to drop out for family reasons. Tony has accepted the automatic place.

Well done to Peter Fyffe (Station - Scotland Men), Garey Steele (White Horse B - Scotland U21), Cameron Spence (Flanagans C - Scotland U21), Jack Andrew (Bowl 2000 - Scotland Junior) and Scott Gardiner (Dingwall - Scotland Junior) who all made it through the trials at the weekend.
Jack walked the junior trial, only conceding 3 frames in the whole competition.
They are joined in the squad by Kieran Wood (Scotland Junior) who was retained and Tony McCallion (Scotland Men) who qualified through the tour. Former Elgin players Mike Clark (men) and Scot Hector (U21) also made the squad.
Angie Tidball (Keith) qualified for the Scotland Ladies Squad.
Well done all, especially Jack who played some magic pool yesterday.

Well done lads. Its a shame the u21 trial didn't go ahead, surely you'd think more then 5 people from Scotland wud have turned up. Maybe a recruitment drive of some sort is required? Good to see Elgin/Keith represented well again! Let's get fundraising, Ireland aint cheap haha

The trial didn't go ahead unfortunately, neither did the ladies. There were 5 squad places to be won in each category and only 3 ladies and 5 U21s wanted them.
None of the R2 players who confirmed they would be attending made the trip, neither did any of our U21s (apart from those already named). Their loss!
