Yesterday I received a formal complaint regarding the poor state of the table in Flanagans.
It is not the first complaint I've had about the table however it is the first 'official' complaint.
I have spoken to Geordie McPhee today and he has assured me that he has already requested that the leisure company who lease the table have it corrected or replaced.
As the table is hired and not owned, Flanagans are not permitted to re-cloth it when required. Geordie said the hirers appear to be dragging their feet somewhat but he will chase them up and get it sorted or look to take his business elsewhere.
I have emailed Geordie the complaint which he will pass on to the leisure company in the hope it will speed things up.
Until then I would like to ask you all to persevere as I am sure the matter will be resolved shortly. I would also request that no-one blames the home teams for the state of the table. Neither of them are happy with it either, and unfortunately for them, they have to put up with it every other week.
Thanks, Brad

Very true Brad. The guys who supply it are total cowboys. I have been discussing this with Geordie for a while now and he has been doing his best to get it sorted. Totally dead cushions make it a nightmare to play on. We practice in the Ionic on a wednesday night because we hate our own table. Home tables should be an advantage to the home team but as we dont play on it, its just as bad for us every game night. Hopefully it wil get sorted as soon as!

This is not an advert for business as I already have too much on my plate at the moment, but I have just re-furbished the second table at the Tennants for the St Andrews guys who are using it. Everyone seems happy with the results so into next year I will be happy to offer this service to anyone. However I suspect most of the tables in our league are rented so they are at the mercy of the owners as to when and if they get sorted.

Update from Geordie; He's been told that a 'new table' will be in place in time for Wednesday's games. Lets see if they stick to their word!
Thanks to Geordie for chasing this up.
