Hi folks, See attached flyer for a new annual event to be held in our region. The SEPF HIGHLAND CLASSIC will be a knockout event open to the very best players in Scotland. The event is open to all players that are prepared to pay their money and play pool. The venue at Rileys Inverness has just had 8 brand new Simply Pool tables installed in a new 'pool comp area'. I expect strong interest from other areas in this ranging from Fraserburgh and Aberdeen to Kirkcaldy and Lockerbie. So, if you want to reserve your place for this event please contact me either by email or by phone 07970680843. I hope we can get strong support from our Region's players for this new event. Cheers, Adam Macleod Flyer also available docs.google.com/fileview?id=0ByU9BhXR9-jCYjVkNDc1NmUtYTQyOS00MjJhLWEzY2MtZTUyYzIwZWY4NTBh&hl=en&authkey=CMisvv0CPlayer List1.Adam Macleod 2.Martin McIntosh 3.Mike Macdonald 4.Gary Wallace 5.Andy Gerrie 6.Darren Matthew 7.Scott Kennedy 8.Scot Hector 9.Fraser Kelman 10.Gary Simpson 11.Tony McCallion Jnr 12. Hi Folks, The list is filling up nicely for this comp and am happy to see that players from other regions are going to be in attendance. I have spoken to quite a few region 4 guys at the last tour who registered their interest but haven't formally put their names in. I would urge these guys to do so as the list is filling up! I have had a look at prices for accommodation in Inverness (if you fancy staying the night) and come up with a general price for B&Bs which is £25 a night per person. Premier Inn and Travelodge don't appear to be as cheap as this but may offer deals to existing customers. I would get in quick with booking your room, as Inverness is a bit of a tourist hotspot as I'm sure you know... Cheers, Adam. N.B. I will be running both a main event and a club event at the Highland Classic. The total entry will still be £20 but I will be running a main event and a club event. The club event will probably be for 1st and 2nd round losers , it will run along side the main event which will be for those still in. Details of prize money breakdown for both comps will appear here soon.

An excellent day of pool was rounded off in fine style by Thomas Bannon winning the inaugural Highland Pool Classic. He beat Darren Matthew 7-6 in the final, having led 6-2 at one point. Special mention to Region 4 players Adam Wood and Peter Fyffe who both made the semis. Full report and results attached. Attachments:

Thanks Gary & Brad for your comments. It was a great day out in Inverness and an added bonus that region 4 players managed to give these great players a run for their money. I needed a couple of Anadin Extra after my match with Darren (what a talent)..
Thanks to my team mate Adam for playing some great billiard shots on the black in our quarter final clash lol!!
