Out of interest what was the entry fee for this? Also, what is payout structure? Is this the flat number of entries or were there qualifiers does anyone know? Reason I ask is because Boo, Bondies and I realised on Wednesday that this is on the same weekend as IM 6 finals (SPA National Tour) that I will be playing at.
I know that the each IM has around 820 entries that play local qualifiers down to the last 128 for each event, costs £5 per IM (£30 for 6 comps) and payout per competition is:
Champion£900 Runner-up£450 Semi-final£230 Qtr-final£115 Last16£60 Last 32£30 Last 64£10 Total Prizefund per event£3,550

Thanks for sorting out the attachment....I know Boo was having problems viewing it but that was more down to the fact he forgot his log in password .
£ 25.00 entry as per previous years. This was the total number of entries with no-one running qualifiers as far as I am aware (has any region ever done that ??).
Not sure what the payout structure will be. As you know I am in favour of paying as far back the field as possible but I suspect that this may only payout to the 1/4s ....but thats a guess !
Good luck in your comp !

No worries, I thought someone might have not got the info they needed given that Apple products are so prevalent now....
Also, thanks for the answers/best guesses provided as it helps to provide an interesting example of how each organisation runs their events and who wants to play in them. I may try to get a breakdown of the SPA Scottish Singles by way of comparison as well in terms of entries, payouts and prize structures...

I personally like apple products because they all work through my Apple TV which I make good use of. However, most folk I have spoken to with a samsung/android swear by them although I have never owned one. Don't suppose that's much help really lol...

Managed to find the full entries and local area draws for the SPA Scottish Singles 2013. www.scottishpool.com/drawsheets/scottish2013.htmAround 775 entries total at £5 per head for IM Members and £10 for everyone else. Once the finals draw is released I will be able to post the prizefund breakdown which I believe the SPA add to the pot of. Also worth noting that the finals of this are held in a hotel as opposed to a club.

True , and that 'cracked screen' look that many of them sport is very fetching. Anyhow only time I am cool is during home games on a wednesday night.

Breakdown for SPA SCOTTISH SINGLES as follows:-
Last 32 - £50 Last 16 - £100 Quarter Finals - £150 Semi-Finals - £300 Runner-Up - £700 Champion - £1500
TOTAL - £5000
In line with my own views, and indeed Raymond's I believe, this is paid out back to the last 32. Much fairer distribution of monies whilst maintaining attractive top end prizes. Just to be clear this is £5 to enter for IM members. Really good value.

Did we ever get the payout structure for the SEPF equivalent? I know it was a flat £25 to enter it. Compare that to the SPA National comps in 2014 it costs £35 for 6 IM events plus the Scottish Singles...

There was a sheet on the wall at Styx the whole weekend with the prize fund. I didn't pay much attention to it but I believe the winner got £ 1000 and runner up £ 500. I know Stuart received prizemoney for last 16 but don't know if it went further back than that.
Yes I do advocate paying out further back to say last 16 for a 64 man comp....purely to give more players more value for money, more encouragement, and more chance of getting something back from their efforts. Unfortunately we didn't quite hit the entry levels during this years tour to allow me to do this. To be honest I am not that disappointed about that though when you consider the amount of top players that can no longer play regularly for one reason or another......

I know how you could attract some top players to the local tour if you are interested...
