This is a duplicate post purely for info and adding names to the list....I get the feeling the other thread is about to be hi-jacked by SEPF constitutional discussion ! lol
We had a meeting tonight to make the draw for the cups and we also discussed the Interleague.
As last year it was decided that a selection committee is the way to go and Neill Simpson, Andrew Cormie, possibly Peter Fyffe and myself will select the teams.
We will endeavor to do this as fairly as possible and hopefully end up with 2 or maybe even 3 strong teams.
With the imminent start of the league season we can generate even more interest. If any of you know anyone else who wants to play please post on here or text me on 07771647464 and I will add their name.
If anyone wants any information about cost etc please just ask ! we will do our best to give you accurate answers
The more who go the cheaper it is for everyone, costs for entry and 2 nights accomodation as follows ;
Total Cost will be £50 per head with 10 players, approx £56 per head with 9 players and £62.50 per head with 8 players. Travel costs TBC when numbers are finalised but to give you a rough idea last year it was £35 per person and we had 3 teams travelling, leaving early on the Friday morning.
Interleague 2012 Garey Steele Graham Scales Alan Mair Raymond Mackenzie Chris Ross Kieran Wood Alan Bonnyman (Keith) Neill Simpson Andrew Cormie Ben Royan Scott Campbell Teddy Smith Shaun McKay Richard Florence Robert Macdonald Cammy Spence Kev McFarlane

Anyone asked Dobby? Bet he'd be up for it again. What about the Whiter lads? Ally/Mark/Trendy/Andy etc?

Anyone asked Dobby? Bet he'd be up for it again. What about the Whiter lads? Ally/Mark/Trendy/Andy etc? Have tried to text Dobby but I suspect he has changed his number again ! As for the Whiter lads I know some are not going and Adam did say he sent them all a group text about the Interleague. If all the 'maybes' would make there minds up we would probably have 3 teams again ........ I am getting the distinct feeling that some are not happy with the committee picking the teams again....if this is the case I wish they would just come out and say so. After all anyone can enter any team they want via R4 or probably via the EDPL if they really feel strongly about it !

Still needing to get a few more names for this years Interleague. Its looking like 24 teams (2 from Elgin) have been confirmed as entering although I presume that entry fee's have to be paid first to secure a place 100%. I intend to put a letter about the Interleague in with the EDPL fixture lists which Brad will be delivering shortly .....hopefully this may generate a bit more interest as I seem to be speaking to myself on here !

Hi Flo, I will get this clarified asap and give you a shout. It used to be that you would have had to played at least one game in the EDPL to represent the league .....don't think that is still the case, particularly with regional teams bing allowed to enter !
Will get back to you .
cheers

Just to clarify, it would appear now that provided you play and have affiliated to an SEPF league or tour you are elligible to play at the interleague...........so ahoy there Flo ! you are ok to play ! On a more urgent note, I am starting to feel a bit of pressure being applied by the SEPF with regard to entries and deposits.....we will have to get a move on with this. We currently have 15 names on the list, a lot of the interleague stalwarts or regulars have still to state their intentions...I will be doing my best to try and get some definitive answers from them this week.

few questions raymond.
when are the teams getting picked? who is picking the teams? when does entry money have to be paid by?
sorry to be a pain but thought it would have all been sorted by now, we only need 1 more name to make numbers for 2 teams

few questions raymond. when are the teams getting picked? who is picking the teams? when does entry money have to be paid by? sorry to be a pain but thought it would have all been sorted by now, we only need 1 more name to make numbers for 2 teams Hi Garey, I will answer as best I can.... Q) when are the teams getting picked? A) The teams will be picked when there are enough players on the list to pick from. As you say there are still only 15 names...currently not enough for two teams I am afraid ! I have however made moves today to attempt some kind of meeting early next week. Q) who is picking the teams? A) As stated in my original post on this thread Neill Simpson, Andrew Cormie and myself discussed this at the last meeting we had at the Bonnie Earl. As Peter Fyffe helped with the selection last year he was mentioned also, however I don't know if he is willing to help this year as I don't know if he is going to the Interleague. I have said this before but if anyone has any objections or alternative suggestions on how teams should be picked please say so......everyone is entitled to their opinion and their opinion will be listened to. Q) when does entry money have to be paid by? A) The SEPF wanted the deposits in by the end of August, payment in full by the end of September. In other words as I have said on many occassions we need to get a move on !! If I can just add Garey, its all very well to say 'it should have been sorted by now' ..BUT I have texted players, spoken to players, facebooked players, written numerous threads and posts on here and finally I have written a letter and added it to the fixture packs which have been delivered to all the pubs today. What more can I do when the overwhelming answer I have had is 'I dunno' or 'maybe' . Let me tell you its frustrating ! However as it stands we have two teams on the confirmed list....teams need to be sorted and deposits paid as a priority....if all those players on the list want to start getting their deposits together then that would be great. Remember though, if we only have two teams travel costs are going to increase.......something else to think about. And by the way Garey you are not being a pain ! I'm glad that someone is taking an interest !

cheers raymond there are now 16 names on the list i have noticed, do you not think it would be a good idea to pick an A and B team from those names and IF anyone else wants in just to draft them into respective teams depending on ability or any other circumstance?

Cheers Boo ! You will definitly be in team ...as will everyone who wants to go ! And thanks for your suggestion Garey...I will speak with Andrew tomorrow night Maybe just hold onto your cash for this week until we have teams sorted and an exact figure for everyone. I am hoping that team captains will show the letter I have put out to their players and we may have a sudden influx of interest. Think we have to have a final deadline of this weekend for players to enter ! As mentioned above I will be speaking to Andrew Cormie tomorrow night with a view to getting a meeting sorted early next week (Neill cannot manage this week). If we can sort teams next Mon or Tues night I will be in touch with you all asap to collect deposits. Cheers folks and ta for your patience !

Deadline for entering this years Interleague is 9pm Mon 24th September.
Max of 2 places left.
No other entries will be allowed unless there are withdrawals or IF Elgin are given the opportunity to enter a 3rd team.
Thanks

Raymond, Elgin can enter a third team if required as 1 of the original 24 has pulled out. Team can be from EDPL or R4 Tour if you want a mixture which could include Keith guys etc.

Shame Keith couldn't put their own team in. Thought that was the plan this year! Never mind. Derek, most of the Keith players play in our league anyway now!
Best of luck to you all, wish I was going!
