Hi everyone, event 6 of the 2013 Region 4 tour will take place at Bowl 2000 on Saturday the 5th October.
In addition to this event being the last tour of the year it is also the Moray County Championship and unlike any other tour event the winner will be taking home an impressive trophy as well as the usual cash prize.
As before priority will be given to affiliated players on a first come first entered basis for the next fortnight. Non affiliated players can enter there names at any time and will be officially added after the initial period if there are available places. Due to time and table contraints this will have to be limited to 64.
Usual dress code, £10 entry & £10 affiliation to new players.
We are looking for a bumper entry for this one to maintain our status as the largest tour in the country.
So if you want your name to join previous winner Peter Fyffe and current champion Mark Bell's name on the trophy then please enter by leaving your name here, by texting me on 07771 647464 or by e-mail on raymondmackenzie@hotmail.co.uk
Cheers Raymond.

Hi folks, apologies for not being able to push the final tour event at Bowl , Elgin on Oct 5th up until now....just been busy busy at work !
Anyhow as previously stated the final tour event is the Moray County Championship which boasts an impressive trophy as part of its prize.
Leading up to this event there have been enquiries from players asking if it would be possible for the affiliation fee to be waived for this final event as it would only cover them for one competition. The region 4 'think tank' discussed this and decided it would be unfair on all the other players whom have paid their affiliation throughout the season.
However we are willing to set up a 'rolling affiliation system'. In order to keep this as simple as possible I would suggest that if you pay you affiliation during events 1-3 then that covers you for the year's events as has always been the case. If however you are a new player who wishes to play in events 4-6 then your affilation fee would cover you until after event 3 the following season. In a nutshell if any new player wants to enter tour event 6 this year their affiliation fee will allow them to play in 4 tour events as opposed to just one as has been the case before. In theory this should give everyone the same value for money although if you affiliate at events 1 or 4 you will maximise these benefits . At present I can only guarantee this system until the end of next year ! Any questions just ask !
So with the above information mind it would be great to add a few new names to an already impressive entry list. The draw will be carried out on the Friday night and as usual if your name is in the hat at 6pm on that night then you have entered the comp and will be liable for fees ....unless of course you let me know beforehand if you cannot make it ! :-)

Never mind the bedroom or poll tax, scrap the SEPF pool tax lol! In all honesty I think we have to take a long hard look at ourselves and ask why we are paying an affiliation fee because with the exception of a few players we have not taken advantage of it this year. I believe the affiliation funds goes towards the international side of things. And the £50.00 league affiliation covers the Interleague as far as I know. On a side note though, it would be nice if everyone could put all the rubbish about rules, affiliations etc etc to one side for this final event and see this years final comp for what it is....which is a local tournament for local players with a great prize fund and a great trophy. With a few more names it could be an even better prize fund possibly paying further down the field which will give even more players value for money ;-) I think we all agree that we need to work together to keep our local pool environment as strong and united as possible ! So ! Basically get your name in Adam and anyone else who enjoys competitive pool .

Yes message received and understood......as it happens the very first tour event in 2010 was when I finally emerged from my own period of pool exile (outwith the EDPL at least)

Sure it will be Andrew Cormie that shows a disgraceful disregard for the wishes of the tournament director. Pretty pathetic thing to do if you ask me...

James Mckenzie may make this on Sat. But won't really know til the morning of the day. Can he just turn up and be included or is it a Friday night draw and therefore not possible?

It would be great if James and any other new players entered this event but I will be doing the draw on the Friday night and the deadline for entries is 6pm. We have done it this way all year and I can't really change this now as others have fallen foul of this deadline. It just means that we can start bang on time and everyone has an idea of where they are in the draw.......and I like to do the draw with a handsful of witnesses as opposed to 30 !
