Hi all,
The Region One SEPF Chairman has contacted us asking if we'd like to take part in a team event (or series of events) between the leagues in Aberdeenshire and our own Region.
This is an idea first tabled by Adamn Macleod three years ago.
I've spoken to Derek Ahern who has also been in contact with other leagues - Fraserburgh, Peterhead, Ellon, Aberdeen, etc.
The event will probably be a one off Interleague between league selects from R1 and R4, although if there's enough interest it could be a ran as a league with all teams playing each other over the course of a season.
R2 and R3 have already started similar competitions with regional selects playing each other.
Might be a good way of warming up for the Interleague next year!
Derek suggested teams of 15 players but I've already said this is probably too big in my opinion. I personally think we'd be more likely to get two or three smaller teams out rather than two large ones. Thoughts?
Your input is required so please feel free to suggest ideas and tell us how you'd like this to run.
Brad.
