This event has now been moved to the 8th and 9th October and will still be held at Styx, Kirkcaldy.
The Region 4 seeds for this event will be taken from the 2010 Region 4 tour ranking list. See below for names. Please confirm on here if you want to attend or not. If not, then the place will be offered down the list. If you are not on the list then do not despair, there will be unseeded spots available either via direct payment or through a qualifier.
Cheers,
Adam.

There is a deadline for payments of August 31st, £25 per seed. From 1st Sept the remaining places will be open on a first come, first served basis.
All players enter at the last 128 stage. Seeds will not play another seed and will be separated according to their regional ranking position in such a way that the No1 seeds can not meet until the semi final etc...

Paid in to the SEPF main account until I'm told otherwise. I'd suggest players give their money to me and you and then you can do a transfer on deadline day?
Seeded places get handed down so it's imperative that anyone not planning on taking up their place lets Adam know as soon as poissble so someone else can fill the space.

I have letters for all the players going, however it'll be easier for me to email them to you rather than run round with them. It's just a generic welcome letter and draw sheet.
Email me if you'd like them!
Brad.

hi adam, sorry for the late notice but i have to pull out of this, looked at the holiday rota this morning at work to book off a long weekend and the chances of my getting time off is slim to none No worries pal. I'll take your name out. Most players on the list above seem to be attending the meeting about the interleague tomorrow. I can accept payment tomorrow night or pass on the region 4 bank details to those who require them. Cheers, Adam.

Payment in full has been made to the SEPF main account for our 16 seeds. Those highlighted above need to get payment to me ASAP to reimburse Region 4 funds.
Thanks,
Adam.

Any nonseeded players who would like to go are welcome to buy in at £25 or if there is enough interest, a qualifier could be arranged, 5 players at £5 a head with the winner getting the paid place.

Just an observation, after quickly looking at the draw on the SEPF website, by my reckoning all 16 region 4 players are in the bottom half of the draw - what would the odds be on that ? Hope the 'hat' was given a good shake before drawing the names ! If I have missed anyone from the top half I apologise. Hmm !

One of the tournament directors rang me tonight and accepted that the draw had flaws. After the first round, half of the draw will be changed round so everyone is where they should have been. Not entorely sure how to put it into words but it makes complete sense when explained. Basically every other game from the top half will move to the bottom and vice versa.

Yep, I have to say its so refreshing when someone just holds there hands up and says 'this is what's happened' . It sorts it out there and then

Slightly unfortunate timing for more mistakes on the part of the SEPF though. I look forward to discussing the way forward with all those attending this competition over the weekend.

First of all i would like to report a very enjoyable weekend ! The story goes like this Adam Macleod, Susan Collins, Neill Simpson & Mark Bell all progressed through to the second day and into the last 32. Adam was the only one to progress to the last 16 where he was defeated by the eventual winner Darren Matthew. Mark Bell in particular deserves great credit for the way he battled through against Derek Ahern and beat him 8-7 at the last 64 stage - pressure on the final black or what ?? Raymond Mowat defeated him in the next round. Both Susan and Neill put up good fights against their opponents but didn't quite make it. As for the rest of us, with the exception of Fyffee who lost narrowly, I think we were all beaten fairly comprehensively in the first round. I think the phrase goes 'sent homewards tae think again' ! Not got time to go into more detail i'm afraid.
