As they still haven't been done, I'll work out the complete rankings myself before the event.

Tedious point no 1 - No Comment Tedious point no 2 - No Football Cards = no extra money (as I understand it). Personally I just want to disregard this aspect of the summer league and concentrate on keeping everyone playing pool on Wed and Thurs nights. As you know I was not party to any of the initial discussions where this was all sorted out so I can only go on what I have been told since. Tedious but important point no 3 ! Agree this delay is unacceptable . I know from my experience with the singles league this year that players are desperate to see their leagues updated etc . Can we do this at regional level and post in on here without landing Brad with loads of extra work ? - ie maybe some of us could share the responsibility for doing this ? At least we would be doing something about it then rather than waiting for it to happen !

lol, with the exception of no 1 they are actually not tedious, Just a pity that your questions go unanswered for weeks on end and as a consequence you have to keep asking. Maybe the last one on your list needs to be posed to someone further up the SEPF hierarchy.

Hi all, Adam, I posted on the second post on this thread that I'll work it all oot myself before the event. There are issues with event one and two where mistakes have been made and event three's hasn't been calculated for some reason. I'll do it later in the week when I get the time, unless there's a volunteer to help out?
Also, I think I'll just tot up points on the scoresheet during the next event to save hassle later on!

Almost a third of the names on this tour event list are Keith players, a point worth remembering when tour event locations are decided next season in my opinion. Adam, I asked where my photo cd from the Dublin European Championships has gone on May 4th, this was the reply = Hi Raymond, for some reason they were sent to me and i will send them to the regional secretaries. Mike Read more: sepf.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=euros&action=display&thread=104&page=1#ixzz21KgeNaLYI paid for it at the event and I'm still waiting for it. :-(

So do you think that Keith should get a third of the tours then Trendy? By that logic Elgin should the other two thirds then. The problem with that is growth. You need to spread the tour around to try and encourage new players to get on board. It may be that one or two players only from Forres or Inverness play the first few times but I think that we should be trying to hold events in other areas to prove we are not a closed shop. If these places have the tables, facilities etc then we should go there.
As regards your CD - good luck with that lol!

Erm why don't you do what was always done before and send the results to Mark, including any amendments required and get him to post them as before. This was what happened previously. I used to do it straight away to avoid any long delays.

That's what I do Adam! Hasn't been updated though so can only assume he's been too busy. Had same problems last year with other regions results and national tour results which I sent in.

Honestly Adam, I don't think either Elgin or Keith should be hosting any Tour Events. Playing in pub league on average tables at best, whether it's in the 1st division or not can only improve any players pool to a certain level. When a player wishes to advance to the level required to play for their country the equipment and venues require to be at a higher level also. I voted for Keith to get Tour Event 5 only because of the effort/money the owner and staff put into making the last one viable. Personally I'd rather travel to a dedicated pool hall with identical supreme tables with competition cloth and new balls any day for the tour events. However unfortunately for all of us neither Elgin or any town in Moray is likely to have such a facility in the near future thus leaving any talented player in our catchment area at a serious disadvantage. It really does all boil down to money in the end because even when the Commercial offered a £1000 prize fund at their last open competition, only 20 players turned up. This and hiring tables for any event is not good business sense for anyone and playing for the craic would require some serious funding.
