Tour event 4 and 6 are at the Bowl 2000.
Tour Event 5 was originally pencilled in for Forres, however the venues are busy on the day of the comp.
Would you like to go to one of the Inverness venues or back to the Commercial in Keith?
(I haven't checked yet whether the Inverness venues aare available but will do so if it looks like being a close run thing or an obvious Inverness choice.)
Answers required before the 17th June please!
Brad.
Please feel free to express any opinions or suggest alternative venues below, however, these are the only venues with a large enough number of tables already in place!

I would love to see an event go back to Inverness as the tables in both venues are absolutely spot on. I have been in both recently! No offence to the Comm but the Chieftain or Rileys is really on a different level - only problem is it is a bit further away!
Inverness for me!

Only thing I would say in response to point 1 is that you have to speculate to accumulate - maybe some will play this time?

I am not going to vote on this because I don't think it should be down to a choice between Inverness or the Commercial. What I will say is that I dont have any problem travelling to Inverness for a tour event just as I don't have a problem going to Keith. Inverness should never have been overlooked in the first place in my view, although I do understand why it was. It is supposed to be a tour after all.

Did anyone notice 80 guests online earlier? That is about quadruple the previous record!

Ok Inverness tables are better quality as people are paid to look after them but when was the last time they offered u a venue and when was the last time a player from inverness played on the tour why should we go and play up there when not one player from inverness supports our tour to be honest its a shame somewhere in burghead could not do it as they always got players on the tour. I voted for keith as my boss spent money making sure keith had a venue and tables are very true and had a lot of compliments who else goes out there way to help get a venue like that ok thats me done!

I'm keen for inverness as - 1. It is a tour after all 2. Its good to break it up a bit rather than going to the same venues all the time. (stops the boredom) 3. Brilliant venues and quality of tables.

To be honest, i am surprised that the Bowl 2000 have two Tours, its as if they are being rewarded for their behaviour towards the Elgin City Club etc, i would have rather had one of their Tours in Inverness instead of them having two,

Shouldn't be about the proprieters should be about the pool. No decision should be personal.

Before the season started we had decided to run it as such:
Tour Event 1: City Club Tour Event 2: Keith Tour Event 3: City Club Tour Event 4: Bowl 2000 Tour Event 5: Forres Tour Event 6: Bowl 2000
I'm not going to take any booked events away from venues, it's just the case that the Forres venues can't manage the date after all so we have to find a replacement. As Elgin has four of the two events, it's really got to be either Forres or Inverness. Inverness will be easier for the Forres/Kinloss players who would have had the event on their doorstep, however Keith have large numbers of players supporting the tour. Historically, the Inverness events haven't been well supported but they do provide top notch tables.
In my opinion the Commercial has pulled out all the stops this year, and while there is still room for improvement, I feel that the tour may well end up equally split between Elgin and Keith next season, with the option to include Forres if they affiliate to the SEPF or field an increased number of players on the tour.

I would like to see at least one in Inverness every year just for the tables and a change of scenery! Surely we can manage that!

like lads, as a new memeber to the tour this year am quite happy to play pool anywhere that is free and interested in having us, having read the above comments, it looks as though the tables in inverness at both venues mentioned are top quality, which is brilliiant, i would have no problems having a event there this year. on the other hand if the 2 venues havent got in touch and actually showed interest in having the event there then why should the tour go up there, especially now that i know there aint a single inverness guy playing in the tour. the commercial in keith have showed huge interest and have made alot of improvements to there tables which are all running really well, the only draw back being the 2 tables through the back have limited space. am voting for the good of the tour as there doesnt seem to be any interest in inverness, if keith was to get this event and could get 2 next year i reckon another 6 guys from keith at least would be affiliating for start of 2013. i vote commercial cheers.

Chris, I agree that the Commercial have put a lot into it this year, however, the tables in Keith (or Elgin0 don't come anywhere near the quality of Inverness. Keith have quite a few undersized tables and those in Elgin just aren't good enough. Inverness Rileys' tables are very good and I've heard that the Chieftains' rival the best in Scotland. Having played on some decent tables, I can imagine they must be top notch if that's the case.
Keith will definitely get events next year, no need to worry about that!

WARNING - There's no point trying to create fake accounts to rig the vote. I can see all of your email addresses and IP addresses (whether they're hidden from the public or not). In other words, if fifteen accounts from one computer pop up, or six from the same email address, I'll be barring access to the whole lot!

Inverness for me.
Nothing personal against the keith players and indeed the comm, who have added / contributed lots to the tour and i appreciate that, but i believe at least one event out of the 6 should be in inverness. Rileys is made for days like this and apparently the highlander is even better. I think out of the 6, one in keith, one in ness is totally fair.
Plus, logistically, its 6 and half a dozen for us westerners!!! And a fine change of scenery too.

inverness, great set up at rileys and the tables are brill. wasnt happy when inverness was off the map this year because i thought it was great up there, if your not playing pool you can play snooker, darts, ect, ect so your never really bored, and have to agree with adam doesnt mean boys from inverness wont start joining in on the tour, but its the tables for me. how well is the tour advertised up there out of curiousity

Inverness would get my vote really enjoyed the tours up there due to the quality of the venue used and was slightly disappointed when it was withdrawn from the list for this years tour.

Well it's keith all the way for me. Why take a tour event to I-ness when no one from there is interested in participating. tbh Riley's in my eyes is a crap venue, too spread out nd no atmosphere.best nights av had this year have been up in Keith,nd think they shud b rewarded for the effort nd commitment the players( and the com)have shown over the last couple of years,so get a grip folks nd give Keith your vote!

I totally agree with fyfee . The tables aren't on same level as Inverness , but why play there when there is no Inverness players . I'm sure in time the tables can be improved in Keith.

I suppose its dependant on whether you want to play on top quality tables, increasing your chances of playing well and getting some prize money, or if you're just looking for a good day out!
