The draw will be made tonight around 8PM in the Seaforth Club which will also be the venue for Finals Day on Sunday, 6th May.
Anyone wishing to come along and watch the draw will be welcome, however, you will need to be signed in by a member. Myself and Ian McLennan will be able to sign a limited number of people in so please text me if you plan on coming down.
The draw will be posted here later on tonight and in the Northern Scot in two week's time.
Venues who missed out on matches last year will be awarded competitions this year, the two which didn't provide food for players last season may not.
Good luck!

It's been pointed out that Nathan Garrow and Martin Hawxwell were drawn twice for the doubles. This was a simple mistake due to the players filling their names in on the Bonnie A and Bonnie C sheets (one which I maybe should have noticed!)
I've tossed a coin and removed them from the White Horse draw, they will only play at the Seaforth now!
Gary Allan and Martin hendry Jr have a bye to the final on the night in the White Horse.
Apologies!

Just checking, what time do you have to be at the place you are playing for the doubles and singles ? Is it same as last year which was 7.15 for 7.30 start ?

Hi all, it was originally svheduled for 7:30 however as Raymond has pointed out, I've neglected to include that info. As there's only four doubles pairs in each pub, an 8:15 start won't be a problem. It's my fault I've missed this off so no one should be penalised for turning up at the usual 8:15 league start time.
Singles WILL be 7:30 though...

Minute rule in force if requested yes? Good point Adam - it certainly wasnt last year. Old man said it was nigh on midnight last year the games were on til at H&I.....the stopclock was there but the pairs agreed amongst themselves not to use it. Still, after two full seasons of world rules folk try to defy the minute rule. Baffling.

Yep, not often I've used it as hardly ever necessary but on occasion you have to enforce it to hurry up time wasters.
Andrew, that's the reason we've only put 4 pairs in each venue this season rather than 6 or 8. One pair in Flanagans last season started their first game at half past midnight. Whereas Adam Macleod & Adam Wood who timed the games in Diceys were all wrapped up by half past ten.
Should be early doors everywhere tonight with only three race to three matches to be played.

But with a possible 15 frames to be played would it not make sense to start at half 7 anyway just incase? A wednesday night can take until 11pm with 9 frames and doubles tend to take longer than singles per frame

Hopefully most folk will remember that we normally start at 7.30 for doubles and singles.
If there are games that can be started because both pairs are there at 7.30 then I suggest that they do indeed start playing and give any stragglers til 8.15
ONLY FOR THE DOUBLES !!
