It is with great pleasure that The SEPF on behalf of the EEPF wish to announce a major event for all our membership which is to take place in Scotland in September 2011.
THE EUROPEAN POOL CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS
For the past few weeks we have been we have been in discussions with The European Eightball Pool Federation with regards to the organisation of the above Event.
All initial talks with regards to Venue, Sponsorship, Tables etc have been agreed and this Event WILL take place in Scotland in September next year.
The European Pool Club Championships will consist of three seperate events and will have a gauranteed £24,000 Prize Fund.
Event 1 - Three Man Team (3 + 1 Reserve : Squad of 4)
There will be 32 teams of 4 giving 128 players.
1. Each Club will host 4 Tournaments at thier venue between March & June 2011.
2. Players will pay £20 Entry which will enable them to play in all 4 Tournaments.
3. The winner of each event will qualify for the team to represent thier club.
4. No more than 2 Internationalists or Professionals allowed per team.
5. The winner of the 1st event qualifies and therefore only plays in that event.
6. The winner of each event 2nd,3rd & 4th thereafter qualifies.
Event 2 - Singles Event (All 128 players)
1. All 128 players compete in a Singles event.
2. No Seeds redrawn every round.
3. Last 32 winners will then join a further 16 prequalified players (12 from the IPA Tour plus 4 from SEPF Qualifiers)
4. SEPF Qualifiers will also be held in the Clubs that the teams have qualified from.
5. Qualifier will have a minimum of 32 players and will cost £20.
6. As we have 4 regions we intend to hold a qualifier in each region.
Event 3 - Plate/Club Event
1. This will be for the first and second round losers.
The Event will be held over a weekend and all going well with our negotiations with all relavent parties with regards to sponsorship etc will probably be held in Scotland at different venues for the next three years.
This event will be ran and sanctioned by The EEPF and is open to all it's Membership.
List of Countries affilliated to The EEPF below.
* Belgium
* Channel Isles
* Eire
* England
* France
* Greece
* Malta
* N.Ireland
* Scotland

This is a massive achievement for Eightball Pool in Scotland and will probably be the biggest Pool Event in terms of the prize fund and of the calibre of players that our country has ever seen.
We, The SEPF would like to thank the European body and in particular Mr George Harwood for this opportunity to host such a prestigious event and I would hope that you the players of Scotland would support this to the hilt.
You would be MAD not to.
