Ok, I have now had a response from everyone in the 'A' team and although its a few weeks away everyone has pretty much said the 5th of November is ok. 4 players have expressed an interest in the singles event, Adam Macleod, Tony McCallion, Peter Fyffe and Dave Main. The rest would rather not take part in the qualifiers , I will play if need be but I suspect it may be easier with the 4 mentioned ! Right Brad......whats next ;D ;D

Brad/raymond .. Are we putting our foot down this year with regards to getting a decent caravan for Elgin? Every year its same old 2 star job away in the mountains while others enjoy luxury caravans near by the venue most years?

Tony as I'm a Pettycur Bay virgin so to speak all I can say is 'I know nothing' about the caravans............. I have heard some horror stories though Sleeping bags and welly boots required ?

Brad can you find out if Peter wants the automatic Region 4 spot please for interleague singles? That way he may not want to play in the internal trial and could affect what the rest of us have to pay to enter.
Also, Bowl 2000 are happy to have us on 05/11/11 for a wee team tourney. I have invited the other leagues round here to put in team. See what happens...

I am not holding my breath for a good caravan tbh Tony. According to the organisers last year it was randomly organised by the venue. I would give Mike Keddie a shout to confirm how the allocation is arranged this year.
Also, I would add earplugs to your list Raymond...

I will see Fyffe on Wednesday night as we are playing at the Station so I can ask him about this if you like............. I assume the regional entry will have to find the £ 50 entry fee themselves ? It was all too much information to put in one text last night

Yes. £50 for that place Raymond. Bit too steep for me but a competitive qualifier would be better. Perhaps it could be put up for those who don't qualify from the team trials to play for? Again, not much time to get it sorted out...

I'm certainly going to ask about caravans after the terrible state of the one I was in last year (and a few others) but would suggest that if anyone ends up in a substandard caravan, they come and see me immediately. Words have already been had with the venue and the bottom line is that it'll be the last year we play there if we have to put up with that crap again. Even worse was that some of the teams with a history of damaging caravans were given stately home types compared to ours which were unfit for habitation.
On the plus side, Buckie look like they may be geting a ladies and a mens team out for the comp on the 5th Nov.

Cool. Sent out invites to them, Lossie, Forres, Keith and Nairn. Be a good laugh if those leagues came along too!
Glad you are on the case as regards the caravans brad!

Laura from Buckie gave me a text about the team comp earlier so hope she can round up her teams! I asked her to confirm as soon as she can so a wee schedule can be drawn up...

Ear plugs will definately be needed. My snoring was that bad last year I kept waking myself up. The other Adam was even worse. Do we have to stay in these pish caravans, can we not just stay in a local B&B at our own expense?

Martin , Shaky and Stuart have paid me their interleague fee's.
Brad , Hig has paid me his interleague fee.
I will hold onto it along with the 'A' team fees until I know what you want me to do with them.
Cheers
