I see that they have been released. I wonder if they have heard of 'the machine' in Uganda?! Although it seems you're from Northern Ireland. but don't worry so is Pixie! See below: www.wepf.org/index.phpI also don't see Garey Steele's name in the men's draw. Why is that? Also, a few names I don't recognise representing Scotland in the men's draw. They certainly don't appear here: www.sepf.com/world2011.htmlSo namely, who are Jamie Tallons, Steven Best and Craig Day? And how did they qualify to represent Scotland in the the under 21 section?

Hi Adam, Jamie Tallons, Steven Best and Craig Day are U21 players who have filled places created by late drop outs same as happened at Malta with the Elgin guys helping out. Corcoran and Wishart seemingly didn't have any intentions of taking their singles places and wasted everyone's time and Kev Gray dropped out for personal reasons. I'm surprised you haven't met Craig before he's played for juniors and U21s for a while now. Garey's name isn't there as he wasn't entered in the draw. Couple of good games there: Cammeron Spence vs Keith Brewer Thomas Bannon vs JJ Faul Could be interesting.....

Cheers Brad. Were the other under 21s from Region 4 who trialed for the teams this year offered places ahead of these of these other players? Can't remember who that was exactly but I'm sure Nathan Garrow and Martin Hawxwell trialled...

He didn't fancy his chances of winning mate! There's a few of them not in the Masters either.
Just thinking about the U21 replacements, haven't spoken to John but it's possible he hasn't counted failed trialists as it was an open trial, unlike the mens where you had to qualify? I know Scot Hector and Scott Little were asked to fill the places when the R2 guys who qualified through the national tour dropped out (or rather refused to play singles unless they were put in the team!) Like I said, haven't spoken to John so no idea myself!

So stephen Corcoran and James wishart were not in the under 21 team and refused singles places?

Adam, as im already playing in the team event and the under 21 singles, i thought in all honesty i was just wasting £80 by entering the mens singles and the masters, still going to get plemty of pool when im down there

Fair enough Garey. I know getting beat on deciders in both the world singles and world masters was the highlight of Blackpool for me. Well, that and the highbrow culture of course...

Yeah, Corcoran and Wishart came first and second in the first national tour of the season and were offered singles places as a reward/incentive but began questioning why they weren't in the team. As the team(s) had been decided last December there was no chance of anyone new getting in, however, if they hadn't of let their singles places go, one of them most likely would have ended up in the team when Gray withdrew! Their loss! And Garey; you'll never be 2011 Word Champ with that attititude! lol!

Ok. So one of them wasn't offered a team place because they refused a singles place?

I hear that there will be much more coverage of both world champs and masters via live stream, fro both singles and team events. Very disappointing to see that there will be no coverage on sky sports. However, given that there will be more coverage, rather than from just the qtrs onwards in the word champs singles, there will be more of a chance for our guys to play in front of an online audience.
Brad, do you have any idea of which matches will be on etc? Would be good to get that info in advance if possible.

Nope no idea mate, but if any of us lot are on, is there any way of capturing the stream as a video?
Sky TV isn't happening due to Fosters pulling out, however, I believe an announcement may be made next week regarding a new sponsor for next year onwards.
Don't understand why Sky is the target channel personally, Eurosport have all the other cue sports on including Snooker, nine ball and three cushion billiards. They're usually either live or broadcast within a day or two of the evnt taking place rather than months afterwards.
As soon as I find out what'll be streamed, I'll let you know by email or on here. Hopefully I'll find out on Friday night.
