Hi all,
Susan Collins has organised a race night at the Caberfeidh on Friday, 27th May.
The event is a fundraiser for the EDPL players travelling to the World Championships this summer.
It would be good to see some of you down there, it should be a cracking night!
If anyone wants to buy horses, contact Susan, myself or Garey Steele. Horses are £3 each or two for a fiver. If you own a winning horse you win a bottle of spirits (donated by the Caberfeidh).
The following day is the Ladies Scottish Singles at Bowl 2000, open to any women players who wish to enter. I'll also be running a singles flyer for anyone to enter and possibly speed pool. If anyone fancies the flyer, give me a shout. Should be another good day as the Champions League final is that evening.

The Race Night at the Caber proved to be a great success. I believe a total of £ 1,058.00 was raised for the players attending this years Workd Championships in Blackpool.
A big well done to Susan for organising the event and to all those who attended and supported the cause so generously.
Bit difficult at times having a Geordie as MC but he did a grand job (thought I was in the big brother house at times). I apologise to the staff at the Caber for having a dump in the LADIES toilet... thanks Brad for getting the audience to give me a cheer when I re appeared from the toilet lol, was priceless.
Once again Region 4 have come up trumps in finding ways to raise money for their international players. Take note all other regions what can be done with a wee bit of effort. nb: Some great players are having to miss out 'once again' because they cant afford to go!!
Thoroughly enjoyable evening and a big well done to everyone!
Special note to Hotwheels who gave a considerable amount of money to the funds on the night and also to Peter Fyffe who gave half of his winnings back to the funds circa £ 70. Very generous...

Cheers Woody!
I think some people wondered what they were giving money towards when I kept saying the funds were being used to support "the cause"!
Thanks to everyone who came down or bought horses before the event! It was good to see lots of pool players down there supporting the cause!
My moment of the night was in the Granary later on when Woody demonstrated his amazing hustling skills on a young lad who had been on the pool tale for a while....
Woody; WOW, YOU'RE AMAZING, THAT WAS EXCELLENT, BEST POOL I'VE EVER SEEN!!........ I'll play you for a hundred quid right now...
Lad; Erm.. no!
