Apparently there have been a lot of problems over the years with the Scottish Ladies team regarding selection and invites etc...
SEPF are very keen to sort this out and are looking at running regional Women's Tours along the same lines as the Men's Tour so that women are able to qualify for the national squad on merit.
The basic idea would be a series of regional ranking events where the top one or two ranks at the end of the tour would automatically gain a Scotland Squad place. The next half a dozen or so ranks would be invited to national trials.
In order to get this off the ground, SEPF have asked me to get together a list of names and contact details of any players in the region who would be interested in taking part. As far as I know you don't have to be a league player, it'll be open to anyone.
So if anyone is interested, please post your name here and PM me your contact details so I can pass them to SEPF. Once there's enough of you interested then we can look at starting something. I'm not sure what they've got in mind but I'd guess you'd need at least 16 to make it viable.
Also if anyone reading this knows someone who might be interested, please draw their attention to this site!
Thanks, Brad.

Confirmation from SEPF: Entering the Women's Tour will NOT prevent you entering the 'Men's' Tour or any other event. Feel free to register your interest in both.
