Hi folks, Here is the relevant info for next year's tour. Get the dates in the diary! Feel free to print out a copy and put it in your local as the weather is going to impact the advertising for the next wee while! Cheers, Adam.

I am going to make the assumption that everyone who played on the tour last year will want to book their place this year. This presents a problem in that I have to cap each event at 48 entries because of table constraints. I have put up the list of players from last year. The first 48 of these, or indeed any new players that contact me first, will have their place reserved for event 1 on 15/01/11.
There will be a slight amendment to proceedings for next year in that final rankings will be determined from a players best 5 tour results out of 6. This will allow players the chance to miss one event and not worry about the effect on ranking points.
Also, there will be acceptable behaviour criteria for next year as discussed previously. Any questions on this please ask. I will assume that noone has a problem with this.
The top 2 players on the 2011 tour will qualify direct for the SEPF Scotland Squad and players ranked 3 - 11 will enter the Scotland Squad Trial.
In addition players can, if they choose, look to enter other comps like the Scottish Masters, Scottish Open, European Club Championships, National 3 man team event and Region 4's very own Highland Classic.
Please contact me asap to confirm your place on tour for 2011. Reserved spots are in bold.
NEW PLAYERS ARE VERY WELCOME!!
Cheers,
Adam.

Event full for Event 1 at Bowl 2000. However, people may cancel and withdraw so I will take names for a reserve list to replace those who may pull out. let me know if you want on this reserve list!
It is likely that I will be able to increase the entry number to 64 for event 2 at Rileys Inverness. So those reading this intending to miss event 1 should still be ok for event 2 even if the whole 48 show up!
Also, players are reminded that players best 5 out of 6 count towards rankings. This means that players can miss one event with no penalty.
Cheers,
Adam.

Well done Tony, some good pool played yesterday, when I left the quarter final line up was looking pretty ominous so a well deserved win I would say !

Yeah well done Tony. I salute your ability in addition to your endurance! Felt you played very well all day and gave me some lessons in the final!
Have sent the report, photo, results etc to Mark and he will update the SEPF website with rankings etc in due course.
Cheers to everyone for continuing to support the tour and I'm looking forward to the next event at Rileys, Inverness!
P.S. To those that booked a place and did not inform me of your decision not to play. Not good enough. Common courtesy dictates that you get in touch if you can't manage. Sort it oot!!

My only complaint from Saturday was the dead/slow tables but after speaking with the Bowl 2000 today they made me aware that John got his dates mixed up for the tour and the tables will be re-clothed and cushioned for the next event. Tour Event 2 in Rileys wil be a different story, there tables were immaculate at the last event.

Yes you are right enough Tony. Both John and Marina made a point of apologising for the mix up and the tables will be sorted for the next event at Bowl 2000. The raffle raised £105 for Region 4 players travels expenses and we will run another at event 2. There will be an update on the sponsorship totals shortly. Also, most people will remember our sponsors PunctureSafe Highland were in attendance on Saturday, both Gordon and Dougie will be around at event 2 for any further questions. They have been supporting us and I'm sure that we will support them. Have a look at their website at your leisure in the meantime: www.puncturesafehighland.co.uk/Cheers, Adam.

Speaking of improvements to Bowl 2000, I noticed the lighting table 4 was much better due to the proper pool lights. I wonder if there's any chance they might consider installing proper pool lights on the other three tables? The uncovered strip lights don't cast a lot of light on the table and I feel it was noticeably easier to sight the balls and pockets on table 4. While I'm at it, here's the list of raffle winners, Bells Whisky = Gary Simpson Leader Whisky = Scott Campbell Smirnoff = Brad Wight Bulmers = Josh Anderson Carling = Peter Fyffe Large Riesling = Cammy Spence Small Riesling = Andy Duncan Small Riesling = Debby Greig Small Riesling = Gary Simmons Cue Case = Richie Green Lindt Choc = Alan Duncan Thornton's Choc = Alan Duncan Firewater & Cheese = Alan Duncan Thanks to everyone who bought tickets!

I think it severely takes the biscuit Stuart. No offence to anyone but you qualified properly through the trial and with the way the team was picked u shud have certainly been in the A team. Ive spoke a gd bit with Adam regarding the whole selection process and i personally think its been done sooo wrong.

Yup , it totally makes a mockery of the whole thing I'm.sure the guy i beat in final game in ABERDEEN is in as well .No disrespect to the guys that made it in , chuffed to bits for them , but it seems you dont even have to win through in your trials to get a place. i suppose tho what is there to do when so many guys pull out. I have to respect the managers decision in whatever he choses to do and i'm still chuffed am going to Malta.

Like Tony I'm gutted for Stuart that he has not been selected for the A team. Ben and I never qualified for the team through merit but were approached by John Murray after region 1 players pulled out and also because Scotland were given the opportunity to put 3 teams into the euros.
Apologies Stuart, I know I would feel exactly the same as you mate.

Stuart, to be told the other night you were in the 'A' team only for that to be changed must be a kick in the teeth especially as you would have been playing with the rest of the local guys.....but taking a positive outlook on it - its also an opportunity to get to know some of the other players and show them what you can do !! PMA !! ;D

It is disappointing Stuart, but the fact is that, had all the players who were eligible to play, taken their place and had there of only been the two spaces originally designated for Scotland teams, you might not have got a team place at all!
Ben and Woody were brought in to replace the drop-outs from region 1, as was Garey Steele in the U21s.
Full credit to them for taking the places up, and it has been said that, if you guys go to Malta and play well, then it's not a guarantee that any of the region 1 guys will walk straight back into the team for the World Championships at the end of June.
Good luck to all of you guys, I hope you's have a cracking week and come back proud and with your heads held high no matter what the results.
It's a pity not everyone has the pride and emotion that you do Stuart when it comes to being asked to represent your country!

Stu,
Just read ur comment on ADPL forum:-
Was told i was in scotland (A) other night now into scotland(B) A bit deflated when found out cosidering guys getting into team that failed at trials .
As I said in an earlier comment I am gutted for you that you are not in the A team. Yes I shouldn't be in the Scotland team as I failed at the trials. I was told that I would be in the B team when I was first contacted and I was more than happy with that, I would have played for the Z team if it meant playing for my country.
To save any problems I would be more than happy to swap my place with you Stuart. I have only been playing pool for a few months and I'm genuinely happy to have been invited to play in Malta.
Sure this proposal could be put to the selector/s.
ps: who is this Furrybeast guy? Has he nothing better to do than make snidey comments all the time, get a life...
