There will be a Speed Pool table at tour event 2 this weekend in Forres.
Each frame will cost £1. You can have as many attempts as you wish.
The kitty will be split between the three fastest players at the end of the day. 1st 60%, 2nd 30%, 3rd 10%.
The rules are quite simple:
1) The clock starts when you strike the cue ball for the break (anywhere behind the line.)
2) Pot all the balls as fast as you can. The black ball must be potted last.
3) The cue ball must come to rest before playing a shot, however, object balls may be in motion.
4) A pocketed cue ball must be allowed to run through the table. In addition to this, a 5 second penalty will be added to your time, unless the cue ball is pocketed from the break, in which case no additional penalty shall be incurred.
5) A cue ball off the table will result in the end of the frame, unless it is from the break shot, in which case all the balls will be re-racked for another break.
6) A shot in which no object ball is hit = ten second penalty.
7) Any other shot deemed an unintentional foul in normal pool rules (ie. touching a ball with your hand, cue tip touching object ball, etc...) = ten second penalty.
8) The black ball must be potted last. If it goes down early, the frame is over.
See you all there!
Cheers, Brad.

Aye well done Tony, 58 seconds was a good time on that table - I knew it would be tough to beat. You gotta admire ol 'Shaky Stevens' though . I hear he wants to sponsor the next event to he tune of £ 30 - he reckons it would be cheaper than competing !! ;D

Ha ha, he wasn't too happy I pipped him to second place right at the death. £25 he put in the pot and only won a fiver back! The dead cushions actually helped I think, stopped balls bouncing too far away from the pockets if you rattled them! If he was a tenth of a second quicker with pressing the stopwatch buttons I'd have been splitting the prize money with Tony! There's always next time Alan!
