Fundraising total

Hi folks,

Just wanted to echo what I said on the other thread regarding fundraising for our international players. Right through the junior, under 21 and adults sections, the support has been second to none and has resulted in pooling together a grand total of £2180.00

A wide variety of activities have seen people raise money to contribute. These activities have ranged from a sponsored poolathon, speed pool challenges, raffles and pool comps. There have also been significant donations from local businesses and financial support provided by the local authority to help players take the opportunity to go and compete at the best international pool tournaments in the world.

So, a big well done to everyone involved and all the best to all the Scotland teams participating next week!!

Well done to everyone for all the effort they have put in towards achieving the £2k+ funds for the Malta trip; especially when considering the limited time frame everyone had to generate such sums of money. At least we will have more time to raise money for funding those players going to the Worlds in the summer.

Yeah i was saying to Mr Macleod last night its amazing what you can do with a tiny bit of effort!
Makes you think about all of the people who pulled out of the team due to lack of funds.

Exactly Tony, the guys who withdrew fromtheir National squad and then subsequently moaned on the adpl website that no one was helping/financing them could learn a thing or two about self help from you guys.

Just to confirm that I will be paying the remainder of the junior monies out this week ahead of the Worlds. I have given all participants from the most recent poolathon a deadline of Wednesday to get the the funds they have raised to me.

Magic, the kitty for the seniors is getting divided up on Tuesday. Works out at £285 each. Thanks to everyone who donated, it goes most of the way to paying for hotels and travel.
