Hi Tony / Brad please add Scott Stephen / Alex Stephen & Robert Stephen from The Broch we are coming up for this event. Word is there may be a few more of the Broch boys coming up and they have been asking can they just turn up on the day or is the Comp Pre-Drawn.

The venue are really wanting names and money in as soon as possible. I will leave the draw until the day tho so if people don't know wether they will play or not its still ok just to turn up. If possible could yous round up entry fees and pay over the phone to the bowl 2000? 01343541444 ask for Marina or Darren. Cheers. Tony

Who won this then? Best player I saw all day was Mark McGauley by a mile. Heard he is the final TBA place int the men's a team for the worlds.

I have read that he was indeed the winner with Woody being the runner up.
What was the entry like in the end ?

Well done Mark and Woody.
Aye Adam, Mark was an obvious pick for the Worlds, he had the best stats from the Euros by quite a distance but was down as TBA as the manager couldn't get in touch with him to confirm place due to Mark being in Brazil.
Good player and a really decent guy.
Well done to Woody! And also Tony for organising and whoever the silent sponsor is!
What were tables like? Heard mixed reports!

Thanks Brad.
All I can say is 'WOW'. Mark is an exceptional talent, to be fair I think the scoreline should have been 7-5 but for my poor cueing on the day but agree with Adam that he was best player on the day by a country mile. If that's the standard of player wi have in Scotland squad I would say wi have a very good chance of winning at this summers worlds.
It was an enjoyable day, good craic wi everyone and glad I came along in the end although I missed my 'walk along lossie beach' lmao.
Well done to Tony on organising the event and for Maggie helping out on the admin side. I believe there were 52 entrants altogether. I dont care to comment on the tables tbh, they didnt seem to have any affect on Mark's performance lol.

like lads, can i just say well done to woody for reaching final he was the better player in our semi, dealt with the long day and mental side of the game better than i did although both of us would agree we didnt play our best pool in that match. i must agree with the previous comments the lad mark was brilliant. big thanks to tony for his huge part in making the tournament a success. maggie was excellent in letting players know they were on next available table, big thanks to her. some feed back on the tables brad, i played on all bar 1, they all play different in terms of speed, pocket size, cushions etc which makes it difficult to adjust but i look at it as being the same for everyone!! iheard a few people saying they had a role here and there but i thought on the whole they were fine.
