As we have 122 registered players on this forum, why don't we ask the question regarding Black ball versus world rules. This would at the very least, give us some indication of how much interest their is in retaining the current rules or changing to BB. Votes on other issues have previously taken place on the forum and I do not see why this cannot happen on this occasion.
All you would have to do is lay out the proposal to change to BB and explain what the rule changes would be and have a simple yes/no vote.

I think that doing this would be useful to get what is on offer out there. My concern is that this website is now so underused that it might be an futile effort. If both this website and the EDPL forum on Facebook were used together to gauge opinion then this may be of use. As regards moving forward, it would appear that any EGM on this issue, despite my constant badgering, will not happen until the SEPF EGM takes place on the 31 August and the outcomes of the other leagues discussing this issue have taken place. The EDPL EGM must take place before December in order to have our trial membership accepted for 2014. My aim is to get the league to approve an SPA trial at the very minimum at our EGM and to have our fees in place for January 1st 2014. Therefore, giving us access to all SPA comps (plus SEPF comps if there are any) next year. I am sure folk will have come around by then eh?!

Brad do you want to set up this online proposal thingy that Ian is suggesting? Maybe seeing the facts laid out in front of the players will give them more of a chance to see how change will benefit everyone...

Pettycur Bay have refused to host any planned or future SEPF events including the international match between Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland next month. An alternative venue has been found in Edinburgh, no details released. I expect it'll be Rileys though as SEPF can't afford to hire tables in.
Interleague now at square one. No venue, no dates, no format...

Forres pool vote to stay as they are by 5 votes to 4. This means they will remain unaffiliated and continue to play BAPTO rules of yesteryear. What is it with Moray lol?!
I note Kirkcaldy Pool League have now also affiliated to the SPA.

Kirkcaldy have decided to affiliate and not just for the years grace.
The up to date BAPTO rules are the same as Blackball rules.

Any word of the SEPF EGM? And more importantly an Elgin AGM?

Proposition 1.
Pool players that play in the EDPL are not very good and pass up opportunities to test themselves against the best players in the region, nation and wider world because of this fact.
Proposition 2.
The SEPF feed off the fact outlined above and are nothing more than a vehicle for mediocrity and nepotism.
Discuss.

Dingwall Pool league affiliate to the SPA. Soon Elgin A will be playing Elgin B and C at the SEPF Interleague for the title...
