Hi all,
It's quite evident that some of the teams in the league either can't read or are just plain ignorant!
On the scorecards, in large black writing, it says:
PLAYERS NAMES MUST BE WRITTEN IN FULL
This was mentioned at the AGM, both this year and last, and is printed on the fixture list and the scorecards.
It is near impossible to work out the player of the season rankings with nicknames and first names alone.
Last year the competitions for Division 2, 3 and 4 were cancelled due to teams who didn't keep their cards. There were two players in Division 3 who claimed to have a 100% record throughout the season and were pissed off that they couldn't win a trophy. Unfortunately, along with sevaral other teams in the Division, their Captains hadn't kept or sent in a photograph of a single scorecard all season.
This year we've made it easier by requesting scorecards are texted or emailed in by both teams straight after a game.
Many thanks to those who did what we asked last season and those who have done so tonight.
Teams who have filled out the card correctly will still get their points, teams who have put nicknames or first names won't.
Also, it has been three years now since home teams had the responsibility of texting in the score so why do people keep insisting that the home team should have texted in the score when they've lost? Easy now = Both teams text!
Thanks,
Brad.

I feel your pain buddy, it's the same with both Keiths Dart and Pool Leagues. Mentioned to Chris Ross at last nights game that we were both put on the score card as Boo n Trendy (no points for us) lmfao

Aye get it sorted! It's not to bad when I know who you are but other committee members might not and obviously can't have one rule for my mates and one for others!
Cheers!
